Junior -  Weekly email - Friday 13th May

Dear Parents / Carers

Well done to Year 6 for their mature approach to SATs week. They have also been working very hard on their mini-enterprise projects and we look forward to seeing what they have on sale next week.

We hope that the weather is kind to the Year 5s for their PGL trip next week and we look forward to hearing all about the adventures on their return.

Parent Survey - a reminder that the parent survey is open until Wednesday 18th May - please take a moment to give us your views. The link to the Annual Parent Survey is here https://forms.gle/6jhjtAGxgg4KnkYK6

Sport for Champions Sponsor Money - if there is any more sponsor money to be collected please can this be sent in to the office as soon as possible.

Queen's Jubilee Celebrations - there are lots of Jubilee activities taking place locally over the bank holiday weekend - there are more details on our Community page here

School Jubilee Celebrations will take place on Friday 27th May. Children may wear red, white and blue costumes that day and we will be having a shared celebration with the Infant School. Our PTA are kindly providing a hot dog lunch. Please remember to place your orders, via ClassLIst, or send your child in with a packed lunch that day as there is no school meals service.

Platinum Jubilee Window Competition  - the Parish Council are organising a window dressing competition for the Jubilee. Details will be sent home with the children before the half term holiday.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail - details of this are available hereJoin in this historic occasion by taking part in our free, magical augmented reality storytrail.

Song for the Queen's Jubilee - There is going to be a Jubilee service of celebration at the village church on Friday 3rd June starting at 2pm. This song will be sung and it would be wonderful if some of our children could take part in this. More importantly, and possibly of more interest to the children, is that it will be sung again on the Village Green on Sunday 5th June at 12 noon, at the start of the Chalfont St Giles Village Street Party. It would be wonderful if as many children as possible could go along to join in one or both of these performances. There will be a couple of rehearsal sessions in school for all children,  one with Years 3 and 4, and one with Years 5 and 6, during the week beginning May 23rd. If your child would like to take part in either performance please can you let the school office know by Monday 23rd May. A copy of the song is available here

Stationery Shop- Starting next week, stationery items will be available to buy from the school office before and after school and during break and lunch times. Please avoid Monday mornings if possible and it would be really helpful if you could bring the correct change. Please see here for the price list.
