Junior - Weekly Email

Dear all
Please take a moment to look at the Spring Term newsletter which gives a lovely flavour of the many activities that have been taking place across both sites this term. The Spring Newsletter and the Sports Newsletter are both available on the school website here
Parking in Parsonage Road - please can we remind you not to stop in the turning circle at the top of Parsonage Road when dropping off or collecting children. We would encourage parents to park away from the school and walk to one of the side gates whenever possible. Parking Permits for the Blizzard Yard car park are available upon request from the School Office.
Staff Car Park - no parents should be using the staff car park to drop off or to collect children without specific permission from the school.

Message from the PTA - Dear Parents, What a busy end of term the PTA have had! The children seemed to have really enjoyed taking part in our Easter games and even the rain held off for our cake sale! We have raised £198 with all our Easter activity! Prizes are going home with the lucky winners today.  Dads to school was also very successful raising £900! The children enjoyed hotdog lunch yesterday, always a fun way to end the term!

As always, thank you for your support of our fundraising, wishing you all a wonderful Easter break! The Junior School PTA
Wrap Around Care - Letter and survey are attached below.
Year 3 - Oak and Ash children will be walking down to the village on Thursday 19th April and Thursday 26th April to sketch buildings in the first week and conduct a survey in the second week. It would be lovely if we had some parent volunteers to help on these two trips. If you have a current school DBS and would like to join Year 3, between 14:00 and 15:15, for either afternoon please contact the School Office.
Year 4 - PE lessons will be on Wednesday during the Summer term.
Year 5 - PE lessons will be on Thursday during the Summer term.
Website calendar - A feature of the school’s website allows you to subscribe to events from the school calendar so that they download into your own personal calendar on your mobile phone, tablet or computer. All you need to do is visit the calendar on the school website and click the link called ‘Link the school events to your personal calendar’. You can then choose from three options: to add to your default calendar (for example, on an iPhone it will go to the iPhone calendar); to add it to your Google calendar; or input it to your calendar programme of choice.

Things to know:

  • If the school edits its calendar, the updates will appear automatically in your calendar (the time that this takes to happen will depend on your calendar programme).
  • You cannot edit the events in the school calendar.
  • All events will pull through in one colour only, not the colours set by the school.
  • You can name the calendar and choose how often to receive updates (we recommend you set this to as often as possible).
  • You can unsubscribe via your own calendar at any time.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let the office know and we can forward them to the school’s website provider.

School clubs - details have been sent home today in a separate email.

School menu - this has now been added to the school website here but please check as there may be changes before the beginning of term.
