Junior - Weekly Email

Dear All
 
PE kit reminder - please can children have an indoor PE kit as well as a green hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms as it can get very cold and PE may be outside! Just a reminder that for the Spring term - Monday is Year 3 PE, Tuesday is Year 6 PE, Wednesday is Year 5 PE and Thursday is Year 4 PE afternoons.

Safeguarding Incident - A silver Peugeot has been seen in Little Chalfont whose occupants were allegedly taking photos of the children. The BCC Safeguarding team have been told that a photo of the car has been distributed on Facebook. This was reported by Maltman’s Green School. If seen, please alert the police immediately on the 101 number.
 
Ad hoc change to pick up arrangements - please can these be emailed in before 11am if possible so that they information can be put into the afternoon registers for teachers to be aware. Many thanks.
 
Highway Maintenance Work - Transport for Buckinghamshire will be undertaking highway maintenance work on Deanway during half term week.
 
School meal survey - St Joseph's Hub kitchen have put together a school meal survey to obtain some feedback on how they are doing and get ideas for their next next menu. The survey will be active until the 16th February - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/X69Q9G7
 
Super Science Spotting Challenge - Mr Holmes has set his challenge for this half term - details are on the website here
 
Year 4 - Swimming lessons for both classes are planned for after Easter. A letter confirming details will be send out after the holiday.
 
Year 5 - A copy of the presentation about the residential trip to PGL Hastings has been added to the Year 5 Class Page on the website here.  If you would like a copy of the SRE presentation please can you contact the School Office and let us know if you would prefer a paper copy or electronic version of the presentation as this will not be added to the website.

  • Breakfast Club in the ATA Room with Mrs Rock and Mr Shankland - 08:00 to 08:45 (Invited pupils only)
  • Maths Club in the IT Suite with Mrs Crosbie - 08:15 to 08:45 (Invited pupils only)
  • Violin lessons with Miss Burvill in the IT Meeting Room - 09:50 to 10:40 approx
  • Drama Club with Mrs Golding in Main Hall - Years 5 and  6 session 12:20 to 12:50 and Years 3 and 4 session 12:50 to 13:20 (Year 3 and4 drama club members please go for first lunch)
  • Cello lessons with Mrs Tullie in the IT Meeting Room - 14:00 to 15:30 approx
  • Choir with Mrs Court in Oak Class - club finishes at 16:30
  • PFO Football Club with PFO in the Main Hall - club finishes at 16:45

 

Wednesday 21st February

  • Maths Club in the IT Suite with Mrs Crosbie - 08:15 to 08:45 (Invited pupils only)
  • Piano lessons with Mrs Downie in the IT Meeting Room - 11:50 to 15:50
  • Skipping Club with Miss Balaam in Main Hall - 12:20 to 12:50 - no PE kit needed just bring your trainers
  • Music and Arts Dress Rehearsal during the afternoon
  • Football Club with Mr Holmes (for Year 5 and 6 only) in Main Hall - club finishes at 16:45

 

Thursday 22nd February

  • Thinking Skills Event at St Marys School for invited pupils
  • Spanish Club with El Club Espanol in Art Room - 12:50 to 13:20 (children in this club to go for first sitting of lunch)
  • Guitar lessons with Mr Norton in the IT Meeting Room - 13:20 to 15:10
  • Pilates Club with Mrs Stephenson in the Main Hall - club finishes at 16:30
  • Cookery club - after school club in the Dining Hall run by Smart Raspberry - club finishes at 16:30
  • Homework Club in the IT Suite - Teacher Led - club finishes at 16:30 (Invited pupils only)
  • Music and Arts Evening - 18:30 to 19:30 (approximate finish time) - letters have been sent home to children taking part

 

Friday 23rd February

  • Breakfast Club in the ATA Room with Mrs Rock and Mr Shankland - 08:00 to 08:45
  • Woodwind lesson with Mrs Wayman in the IT Meeting Room - 13:20 to 14:00
  • Street Dance Club with Tuffney Dance in Main Hall - club finishes at 16:30
