Junior - Weekly Email

Dear All
Thank you to everyone who purchased Children In Need items last week - both schools together raised over £500 for Children in Need. Year 5 had a very exciting morning working with Mexicolore on Monday. The Eco Warriors gave an interesting assembly all about Switch Off Fortnight - thank you to them for all of the work that they are doing around the school. Year 3 are now hard at work rehearsing their Egyptian Nativity and we are all learning the carols to sing at our Christmas Carol services. Year 4 have been to Amersham School this afternoon to take part in a basketball PE Festival and we hope that they all enjoyed competing against other local schools.
Christmas fair - Friday 1st December 17:00 to 20:00. Please park with respect to our neighbours next Friday and do not park on Parsonage Road.
Hello everyone, The Christmas Fair is almost upon us and the PTA is beavering away! Jolly jars have been sent home today with the children, please can these be returned to the box in school reception by Thursday 30th November.  Please fill the jars with small wrapped sweets, snacks and party bag like toys. Many thanks! We are still accepting donations next week. We are in need of any bottles, chocolate and new gifts or toys for the tombola. (Please note may alcohol will need to be brought into school by an adult).

We are in still in need of toys for the toy stall, if you have large items these can be brought into school on the morning of the fair (Friday 1st December). The PTA will be around the morning of the fair to accept donations. Don't forget to sell those raffle tickets, we have some amazing prizes available to help enhance your festive holidays! These can be returned to the PTA box right up to the day of the fair.

Thank you for volunteering to assist on your class stalls, if you have not yet volunteered and are coming along please offer us 30mins if you can, contact your class mum for available slots. We are looking forward to seeing you all and starting the festive season off, with a glass of fizz, some Christmas nibbles and treats to buy!  Thank you for your support! The Junior School PTA
Girlguiding - Chalfont St. Giles and Seer Green District are in desperate need for volunteers to become Leaders, otherwise units will close. We need people to volunteer to be Rainbow (girls 5-7 years) , Brownie (girls 7-10 years) and Guide (10-14 years ) Leaders. The Guide unit will close next year if we don't get more adult leaders - see attached flyer.  It's a fun and rewarding experience and doesn't take up too much of your time. Please consider volunteering and contact
