Junior - Weekly Email

Dear All

PTA, Governors, Parent Reps, Parent Readers and Reading Pool Readers - many thanks for all of the time that you have put in to helping with the children this academic year.  Your support and assistance is always much appreciated.  We would like to invite you to join us at our summer thank you drinks on the morning of Wednesday 19th July between 09:00 and 09:30 in the Junior School dining hall. Please inform the school office if you are able to join us.

School Uniform - as the weather has cooled down again please can children come to school wearing their usual uniform. If it becomes hot during the day they will be informed if they can take ties off and they can pop them in their school bags. If you are able to label ties and jumpers it would be most helpful for those times when ties and jumpers are taken off and do not make it into bags straight away.

ParentPay - minimum amount addable will be reduced to £2.60 at the beginning of next week. Please can you ensure that you do not have any debts on your child's school meals account. IF your child is leaving at the end of this academic year please can you try to have a zero balance at the end of the academic year. We are able to transfer meal balances to younger siblings who are still in the Junior School or we will refund amounts over £5, where we are able to, during the transition period.

School library books - please can all school library books be returned to the school library by Friday 30th June as Dr Agar is doing an end of year stock check. Books can be returned to the library next Monday 26th or dropped off in the red library drop box that is now outside the school office. Thank you to Dr Agar for all of her work supporting the library this academic year - it is much appreciated.

France Trip - a huge thank you to all of the adults who helped to organise and run this trip - including the Class Reps for communicating with the parents. It has been a very hot week in France but the children have visited lots of different places during their trip and will have lots to tell you about their trip.

Childline: Worries about the World website - we have added a link for this useful website onto the Links for Parents page of the school website - click here to see what useful advice they provide.
