Dear Parents,
 
Welcome to the Summer Term.
 
PFO Football Club:  After school PFO football club starts on Tuesday 25th April - please complete an application form and send it to the school office via pupil post during morning registration should your child/ren wish to join.  Further information and a link to the PFO website can be found here on our website.
 
Concert:  Sunday 23rd April 2017  This will be held at King's Church, Amersham - see attached flyer for further information.

We are delighted to announce that Mr Cato has a new addition to his family - a baby boy born over the Easter holiday.  Mum and baby are both doing well.

Good luck to Miss Murray and family who are running the London Marathon on Sunday.  The Junior School raised £290 towards their chosen charity, Children with cancer UK.  If you would still like to support her please go to her fundraising page at www.virginmoneygiving.com/themurraymarathon.  Also good luck to the Franklins who are also running on Sunday for their chosen charity, Muscular Dystrophy UK.

The Year 6 France trip/ SRE meeting has been moved to just before half term rather than next week;  the new date is now Thursday 25th May starting at 19:00.
 
The presentation given to Year 5 parents about the PGL trip to Hastings is now on the school website here.

Year 5 Football tournament:  Well done to all of the boys who played in the U10s football tournament at St Joseph's school last night.  They were very nearly through to the next round but just missed out on goal difference.
 
Monday 24th April
  • Cheerleading in main hall with Dance Mania - 12:20 to 12:50
  • Cello lessons with Mrs Tullie in the IT suite meeting room
  • Gardening - Year 3 Ash Class:  Children will be gardening with two parent volunteers in our Outdoor Learning Area during the afternoon.  Please could you send your children in with a waterproof coat, clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and wellington boots.  The children will be taken out in small groups for approximately 30 minutes during the afternoon.​

 

Tuesday 25th April
  • Breakfast Club - invitation only - 08:00 to 08:45
  • Drama - all years - meet Mrs Golding in main hall at 12:20 for Years 5 and 6 and 12:50 for Years 3 and 4 (Year 3 and 4 drama club members please go for first lunch)
  • Relaxation club - with Mrs O'Connor IT Suite 13:20 to 13:30 tbc
  • Year 4 - Acer class are having a PE lesson this afternoon - please have PE kit in school
  • PFO Football Club - Main Hall - club finishes at 16:45

 

Wednesday 26th April
  • Breakfast Club - invitation only - 08:00 to 08:45
  • Maths IT Club - invitation only - 08:15 to 08:45 - IT suite
  • Piano lessons with Mrs Downie in IT suite meeting room - p.m.
  • Violin lessons with Miss Burvill in the Star Lab - 13:30 to 14:30
  • Year 4 - Palm class normal PE session today - please have PE kit in school
  • Year 3 - Ash class to visit village in the afternoon
  • French Club - Year 3 and 4 only - Oak class - club finishes at 16:10
  • Science Club - please note that this club will not be running this term due to lack of take up

 

Thursday 27th April
  • Maths IT Club - invitation only - 08:15 to 08:45 - IT suite
  • Spanish Club - art room - 12:50 to 13:20 (children in this club to go for first sitting of lunch)
  • Year 3 - Oak class to visit village in the afternoon
  • Homework Club - IT Suite - club finishes at 16:30
  • Mrs Head's last day in school

 

Friday 28th April 
  • Breakfast Club - invitation only - 08:00 to 08:45
  • Woodwind lessons with Miss Simmonds in IT suite meeting room - 08:40 start
  • Judo Club - dining hall - 12:20 to 12:50
  • Guitar lessons with Mr Jones in the IT suite meeting room
  • Year 4 - Eating for healthy teeth workshop - Acer class pm - children will need to bring in a toothbrush
  • Street Dance club  - Main Hall - club finishes at 16:30
  • Smart Raspberry cookery club - please note that this club will not be running this term due to lack of take up

 

Future Dates:
 
Tuesday 2nd May - PE Challenge Day - all children will need PE kit on school on this date.
 
Tuesday 2nd May - Year 4 to attend 11:30 Songs of Praise service at Village Church - family and friends are also welcome to attend .

w/c Monday 8th May - Year 5 residential trip
 
w/c Monday 8th May - Year 6 SATS testing in school
 
Wednesday 24th May - Year 5 assembly in the Main Hall starting at 09:15 - parents are invited to attend.
