Dear Parents and Carers,
Your children continue to make us smile with their positive approach to school and enthusiasm for learning. It is a pleasure to have them all here, engaged and enjoying their time with us. I am so proud of our staff team who are working so hard to make school a happy and safe place where your children can flourish. A huge thank you goes to the parents who have passed on such positive messages to the team either in the playground or via email.
We can now confirm that we raised £925.77 with our MacMillan coffee morning. Thank you so much for your generous donations for this fantastic charity.
Keeping safe and well
As you know from the news the numbers of people with Covid 19 is rising nationally. We are so pleased that in our area we have not seen a rapid increase. I wanted to reassure everyone that in the event of any cases we have very clear procedures which we must and always will follow. As we continue to work together we will do everything we can to keep numbers down. This includes washing our hands regularly, giving everyone space and wearing a mask if needed. Thank you for your continued support and understanding- together we can keep everyone safe, well and at school.
Accident Free in CSG
Thank you to those parking in Blizzards Yard car park and around the village.
Please do not park on the double yellow lines on Silver Hill or across Crossing Corner which should be kept clear at all times so your children can cross safely.
Earlier this week a year 1 parent in a silver Vauxhall Corsa drove over and damaged one of our cones that are blocking the entrance to the parking area in front of the Memorial Hall as the children were being dismissed. Not only are the breaches of the Parking Promise disappointing for us and our neighbours, it is also dangerous and irresponsible. This could very easily have been a young child. Thank goodness it wasn't on this occasion.
If the parent would like to come forward and offer some financial recompense for the damage caused, we would love to hear from her.
As part of our road safety campaign, next week, we will be talking with the children about the importance of this crossing corner so they know where it is safe to cross the road.
Thank you to those who have been parking at the playing fields and reducing the number of cars in the local roads. I know our neighbours appreciate this.
