Infant - Weekly reminders (w/c Monday 19th November)

Dear Parent/Carer,
Thank you to Elise for laying a wreath on behalf of the school at the village Remembrance Day service last Sunday.
Children in Need: We had a lovely visit from Pudsey Bear on Monday. Thank you to everyone for donating to Children In Need by purchasing ears and raffle tickets, raising £148.00. The winner of the Pudsey raffle, drawn in assembly today, was Aoife.
Author visit: The children enjoyed listening to the story of Pierre The Cat read by the author Glenn Lovegrove who visited us on Tuesday. It is always really exciting to meet a real author and find out how they think of their ideas for writing a book.
Spellings: The spellings we update every week are the National Curriculum words the children should know by the end of KS1. High frequency words which children are spelling incorrectly in their own writing may also be included in the weekly spelling tests. We also work on these words in literacy lessons. Challenge words are optional and are not tested. These are topic or maths words for the coming week.
Christmas Menu: Please find the attached menu and allergen information
Accident-Free in CSG: Please don’t block the crossing corner!
If you park over the white T bar line near the ‘crossing corner’, then vehicles need to drive over the pavement on the other side to get past your vehicle. This is why the council put this line in place - to help keep this crossing area safe for our young pupils.
This week the vehicles below were parked inconsiderately on School Lane:
Silver Vauxhall ****
Micra ****
White Mercedes ****
Blue Honda ***
Black Kia ****
Thanks Sapphire parents for covering patrol this week. Don’t forget to add your names to the pot for a stab at the prosecco and games prizes.
