Lego - we are pleased to announce that we are looking to start Lego Therapy for selected children at the Infant School. This has proved to be really useful for developing communication and listening skills and we are keen to begin as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not have enough resources at present and we would be very grateful if you could drop into the office any complete (small to medium) sets of Lego, (with instructions ideally) that you no longer require, Alternatively, these may be handed to Class Teachers. Many thanks in advance.
New Dates: Please note that the late Parent Evening in November has moved from Thursday 15th November to Thursday 22nd November from 5.30pm until 8.00pm and Year 1's trip to the Milestones Museum is Tuesday 27th November instead of 15th November.
PFO Football: Please can those attending PFO wait until all classes have left the school before coming in to get changed. Please can we also ask that football boots are not worn in the school.
Multiskills Club: Please also find attached details of the lunchtime Multiskills club that is starting on Tuesday 2nd October. This is open to years 1 and 2 only.
Accident-Free In CSG: We take school run safety very seriously.
Some of our children have come close to being run over outside the school in the past.
Yet some families continue to drive up School Lane and park inconsiderately. For example this week we had...
- A car coming up School Lane and waiting in the middle of the road over our safe ‘crossing corner’.
- A car doing a 3 point turn outside the school while other families tried to cross the road.
- A car parked on the slope into Memorial Hall.
- Cars obscuring the entrance to the Guide Hut for hall users.
- Illegal parking on the double yellow lines on Silver Hill.
During this term we will be enlisting the help of the police and traffic warden. Please brief all parents, grandparents and carers NOT to drive up School Lane - or let us know if they are exempt from the Parking Promise for valid reasons.
This week the following vehicles were parked inconsiderately:
Blue Mercedes ****
Black Mercedes ****
White Land Rover ****
Red VW ****
