Infant - Weekly reminder (w/c 12th November 2018)

Dear Parent/Carer,

It has been a busy week with Year 2 enjoying Evacuation Day on Tuesday and showing off their war time dance routines to their parents and carers on Friday. Thank you to the Year 2 team for organising such exciting events to enrich the children's learning and to all the parents for providing such lovely evacuation outfits! We were also visited by the Sustainable Drainage Systems team from Bucks County Council who have been working with us on the new rain garden areas around the school. They took an assembly to explain the reasoning behind the gardens and then stayed to help our Eco Warriors plant up the area by the hall.

Pudsey Bear: is visiting us on Monday for an assembly as part of our support for Children in Need.  Children in Need Merchandise in partnership with the Misbourne Matins Rotary Club will be available to purchase- raffle tickets are £1 and Pudsey Ears are £2.50.

Author Visit:  Glenn Lovegrove, author of Pierre The Cat, will be visiting our school on Tuesday 13th November. He will be giving an assembly and there will be the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book priced at £6.99 each.

Head lice - we are continuing to have cases of head lice in school. Please remember to check your child's hair regularly and treat as required. Many thanks.

Handwriting: In response to requests, here is a link to the handwriting section of our school website.

Topic Packs: These are on our school website. Please follow this link to access the information for Nursery, Reception and Year 2. Please find attached Year 1's pack which will be added to the website next week.

Wool: If anybody has any wool at home that is no longer needed, we would gratefully receive it at school. Thank you.

Accident-Free in CSG:

Prizes for patrollers - To thank our wonderful parents and young volunteers who help keep School Lane safe, we are offering a pre Christmas competition. Pop your name and your child’s name into the pots in the tray after your patrol session, for the chance to win a bottle of fizz for grown ups and a game for kids.

One entry per person please! The office team will randomly pick a name from each pot at the end of term!

Please make sure everyone dropping off for your family knows to avoid School Lane and the double yellow lines on Silver Hill. This week the vehicles below were parked inconsiderately in these areas:

Black BMW ****
