Infant - weekly reminder for w/c Monday 2nd December

Dear Parent/Carer,

Victorian Morning: What an interesting morning the Year 1 children had and they looked fabulous dressed as Victorian children. Thank you to the Year 1 team for organising such an exciting morning to enrich the children's learning and to all the parents for providing such wonderful outfits!

Birds of Prey Visit: Reception had a fabulous visit from the Birds of Prey Centre as part of their topic about nocturnal animals. They met different types of owl and learnt all about these majestic creatures and other nocturnal creatures.

Candlelight Parade: The lanterns are coming home today with those who are attending the parade. Please be in the school playground at 4.55 and be reminded that you need to accompany your child to the Village green. The children will be escorted onto the green to sing a carol before being dismissed back to you. Please return the lantern to school on Monday morning.

Sickness and diarrhoea: Please can we remind you that if your child is sick or has diarrhoea they should not return to school until 48 hours after the last episode.  As we do have children with weakened immune systems we would ask you to ensure that these guidelines have been followed before allowing your child to return to school.

Christmas Post Box: From next week the Christmas post box will be in the main reception area should your child wish to write cards to their friends. Please can you ensure that your child's cards are clearly marked with the child's full name and class so the Year 2 post-people making the deliveries can read them.

Christmas Jumper Day: The Infant School will be collecting for The Dogs Trust on Friday 13th December in return for a £1 donation. The charity has been chosen by the children. Children are able to wear a Christmas Jumper, or decorate a jumper of their own. This is to be worn alongside their regular grey trousers/shirt/dress.

Parental Help: We are looking for someone to put the toys out in the playground at 9am and put them away at 3pm. If you or someone you know is interested in helping us, please let the office know. Thank you.

Christmas Lunch:  For those children that have hot lunches, the Christmas dinner will be  Wednesday 11th December.  Please click here for the menu and allergens.

Parents Evening March 2020: The parents evening on the 12th March has been changed to Wednesday 25th March. The times are still the same - 5.30pm to 8.00pm.
