Infant - Weekly reminder for w/c Monday 16th December

Dear Parent/Carer,

Christmas Productions: The children were brilliant in their Christmas shows and we are so proud of each and every one of them! Thank you everybody who helped to make these events so special. If you have taken any pictures or videos of the productions please can we remind you not to post them on social media sites.

Christmas Jumper Day: Everyone looked very festive in their Christmas jumpers today. The Infant school raised £74 for the children's chosen charity, The Dogs Trust.

Reception trip: Reception had a fun filled day outside learning about the meaning of Christmas. Thank you to all the staff and parent helpers and to parents for taking and collecting.

Christmas parties: The children are looking forward to the Christmas parties on Wednesday and can wear their party clothes to school. Please make sure they are still dressed warmly and appropriately (no jewellery or high heeled shoes).

Thank you tea and cakes: We would like to invite all of our volunteer helpers to join us at the Infant School between 9am and 10am on Friday 10th January 2020. This is for anyone who kindly volunteers in school whether as a governor, parent reader, PTA member, library helper or other helper.

Parenting Course: Details of a parenting course have been added to the community section on our website.

Christmas Services in the Village Church: Information regarding these have been added to the community page on our website.

Accident-Free in CSG: At the end of the school day last Friday a car was reversing in the Memorial Hall car park and the children coming over from Forest School had to be moved back to safety. Please do not park in the Memorial Hall at the start or the end of the school day to help keep your children safe.

Whilst we ask you not to park in the Memorial Hall car park there are a very small number of parents/carers who have been given permission to do this due to severe medical conditions which mean they are unable to park further away.  Please be considerate when questioning people as there may be a valid reason that the School is aware of.

We also had a very unpleasant situation on Wednesday when parents and grandparents of a school child were extremely abusive towards one of our neighbours in Silver Hill when she asked them not to block her drive.  This caused a lot of distress and upset and these people have been reported to Thames Valley Police.  Please can we ask you to be respectful of all our neighbours and to park in a considerate and safe manner.

If the following vehicles could please not park on the double yellow lines on Silver Hill, School Lane, the Memorial Car Park, the Guide Hut Car Park or Crossing Corner:
