Dear Parent/Carer,
Open Evening: We would like to invite you to the School Open Evening on Tuesday 3rd July. This is very much an informal occasion where your child can show you their classroom and the work they have done through the year.
The times are 4.30pm - 6.00pm for Nursery and 5.30pm - 7.00pm for the main school. Please feel free to pop in at a time which suits you. Can we please highlight that this is not a formal parents evening where you meet with the teacher, it is a celebration of all your child has achieved over the past year.
Transition Week: The Year 2 children have had a great week visiting the Junior School this week and it was lovely to see the Year 3 children at the Infant site. They have grown so much in a year!
Buckinghamshire County Council Transition Day: Tuesday 3rd July is a County-wide transition day. All children across Buckinghamshire are expected to attend their new schools for the next a academic year. As in previous years, those of you who have children who are NOT attending either of Chalfont St Giles Village Schools in September 2018 are expected to visit their new schools. They are not expected to be at our school on that day. Children who are remaining in nursery for a further year may still attend.
Emerald Class Assembly: Well done to Emerald Class for their enthusiastic performance this morning! It was great to hear about all their learning this term.
Strawberry Fayre: We have a few items in the school office that were left behind on the Shakman Field after the Strawberry Fayre. Any items not claimed will be given to charity at the end of term.
Reception Children and Cool Milk: Children who have turned 5 are no longer eligible to receive free school milk as part of the government scheme. If you would like your child to continue to receive milk from this point then please arrange this directly with Cool Milk at coolmilk.com.
Accident-Free in CSG: Prams Passing!
A reminder for all of us who drive to leave plenty of pavement space for prams to pass. A red car on School Lane (near Deanway) was parked so far over the pavement that parents had to push prams into the middle of the road to get past.
This week the vehicles below were parked inconsiderately in our Safety Zone. Please find safe parking away from School Lane or let us know if you need to park close to the school for valid reasons. Don't forget to drop the office a line if a member of your family would benefit from a disabled bay in front of the Gardens Association Hall. Thanks!
Grey Mercedes ***
Sadly, we have just had our neighbours call to say that there were three cars this evening parked on the double yellow lines on Silver Hill. This is so disappointing for all the staff and parents who have put so much effort into keeping your children safe.
