Dear Parents and Carers
What a fun day we have had! The children loved wearing their Christmas jumpers and it brought a great sense of festive cheer to our school. Thank you for all of the donations to Save the Children, we will let you know how much we have raised next week.

Friday 11th December
In order to continue spreading the festive cheer we are inviting all of the children to come to school dressed up as a Christmas Character next Friday 11th December. They could come as the star on the tree with a bit of sparkle, Mary, a shepherd, Father Christmas or an elf. There is no requirement to buy an outfit - a piece of tinsel and a Christmas hat would be lovely too.
Some of the children in Year 2 have been asked to come as specific characters on this day. Please can they do this as it would be very helpful for the filming of their contributions for the Christmas video we are preparing for you all. If there is a problem with this please let the Year 2 teachers know-thank you.
Christmas Lists
Some of the children's pencil cases in Years 4-6 are looking a little sparse after a long Autumn term. Glue sticks, colouring pencils and pencils would be a fab addition to the children's Christmas list for Father Christmas.
Yr1 & Yr 2 Hot School Meal Trial
Thank you to all those who contributed to our request for orders. For those of you who selected the packed lunch option or failed to respond, please don't forget to provide your child with a packed lunch from home on Tuesday.
Reception classes will be having the packed lunch provided as usual.
Accident Free in CSG
The weather is changing and as we are getting more cold and wet days the level of traffic around the schools is increasing. Please avoid using your cars close to the school site as this puts all children in danger.
It's also that time of year where we need to ensure that we are all wearing BRIGHT things so that we can be SEEN as it is dark out there. Please talk to your children about this and where possible add some reflective items to their coats/bags so that they can BE BRIGHT - BE SEEN.
Infant School
Thank you to those parking in Blizzards Yard car park and around the village, rather than driving up School Lane or parking on Silver Hill.
Junior School
Thank you to those parking at the playing fields and considerately around the village. It is greatly appreciated.
Shoe Laces
If your child's shoes have laces please can your child be able to tie their own laces as we need to be wearing PPE to get that close to them.
