Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 18th October

Dear Parent/Carer,

 
Mathseeds
After half term, we would like to continue to celebrate the children who are engaging with Mathseeds each week. In our Friday assembly, we will celebrate the children who have used Mathseeds the most and completed the most lessons so please encourage your children to log on and enjoy the lessons.
 
Mathseeds is an online maths programme for children which your children can use at home. It is full of fun, interactive lessons to help embed key maths skills which they are learning in school as well as improving their understanding and problem solving skills further. At the moment we have set it up for Years 1 and 2 but we will set it up for reception to use later in the school year. 
 
Your child's login details can be found in their reading records but if you have any problems logging in, please speak to your child's class teacher.
 
Energy Audit
We are looking to commission an energy audit for the school to support our commitment towards sustainability. 
 
If you are able to help with this, please would you contact the school office.
 
Clubs
Springbucks Gymnastics and PFO Football still have spaces available. Please see here for more information.
 
Springbucks are offering free trial sessions to any children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 who would like to try out the 7.45-8.45am Tuesday morning gymnastics class at the Memorial Hall any Tuesday in October. Please email them at springbucksgc@gmail.com to secure a free trial place for your child.

Update from the PTA
  • The Smarties challenge is back - let the PTA know if dairy free alternatives are required.
  • Tickets for the ever festive Christmas Wreath Making are now on sale.
  • Elf "I'm back" / Christmas countdown balloons are back by popular demand - order on classlist (see attached image to see how fantastic they looked last year). Capacity is limited, pricing super competitive and all profit to the school.

  • Wed 4 December - Wreath Making night - excellent value and great fun with friends - get your tickets now
  • Fri 13 December - Christmas Fayre and Santa Grotto - event will be live next week
