Infant - Weekly email - Friday 18th June

Dear Parents and Carers,
It's been a week of two halves, glorious sunshine at the beginning followed by today's torrential downpours. This is a perfect time to remind you to ensure your child is prepared for whatever the weather throws at us next week!

After the changes to Government guidance announced earlier this week we are reviewing plans for end of year events and we will communicate these with you as soon as we can.

Charity Walk
On Saturday 17th July a group of staff will be taking part in the Thames Mighty Hike walking marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team have decided that we would also like to raise some funds for Rennie Grove Hospice who are currently supporting Charlie Mason, one of our infant school  pupils, and his family. Very sadly Charlie is terminally ill and we know that the support being provided by Rennie Grove staff has been fantastic and as a school community we wanted to say thank you to them in some small way.
If you would like to make a donation to Rennie Grove Hospice please use the link below.
We know the family are in support of this fundraising and very much appreciate the gesture.
Thank you from CSG Mighty Hikers
Mrs Court, Mrs Coleman, Mrs Watt, Mrs Haynes, Mrs Dawson, Mrs Draper and Mrs Peal
Accident Free in CSG - Infant School
We had a very near miss this week and I would like to ask all parents who are driving up and parking on School Lane to stop doing this and find an alternative to your current routines.
Can I also ask that parents do not walk in the road with their children and use the opportunity of walking to school to teach good road safety.
Thank you to those parking in Blizzards Yard car park and around the village.

Online gaming has seen a massive increase in popularity with children over the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result of more time spent at home and restrictions on physical social contact.

Parents and carers are welcome to join one of our free Gaming4Good webinars where they can hear from a panel of experts in family gaming who will discuss psychology, gaming risk and finance, how to approach your child's gaming to help them get the most out of it... and avoid the pitfalls.
