Infant - Weekly Email - Friday 17th December

Dear Parents and Carers,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We've made it through the term and had a great time working with your children and each other. Thank you so much for the Christmas gifts and surprises you have given to us - they really are appreciated!

Online safety

Guidance for parents and carers about online harassment and keeping children safe online : The Children’s Commissioner has asked schools to disseminate this guide to as many parents and carers as possible. She hopes that her guide will serve as a useful starting point to raise awareness and understanding of online harassment, and to complement key messages on the new relationships and sex education curriculum."

Supporting Local Causes

As I am sure you are aware, the PTA at the Infant School and Nursery has been successful in applying for a grant from the CO-OP. Until November next year we are one of their Local Causes. This is a great opportunity for us to fund raise for our school whilst shopping in  the local area. If you are a Co-op Member:

Please visit https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes where you will be able to select us as your local cause.  If you use the CO-OP in Chalfont St Giles or Chalfont St Peter and aren’t a member, please consider joining by getting a card for £1 when you are next in store.  A percentage of every sale from CO-OP branded items will be allocated to the Infant School and Nursery and you will also accrue credit to spend yourself.  Please spread the word far and wide, the more people that select our school the larger the donation will be from the CO-OP.  The funding will be issued next year and will be used to support us in improving the outdoor learning area with new shelters and paying for additional resources to enhance education outside of the classroom and at Forest  School.

School Lunches
These can now be ordered on ParentMail for next term.
