Dangerous Roads
Accident-Free in CSG
Infant School
We have received the following message from a local resident:
I have noticed on my daily walks down to the village the number of cars illegally parked on the double yellow lines along Silver Hill.
Cars coming down Bottrells Lane cannot see the oncoming traffic and vice versa. I have seen for myself on two separate occasions, cars braking sharply and just avoided a head on collision.
I am not too sure what can be done – yes I could inform the traffic officer and they would all be issued with a penalty notice but I am reluctant to take that course of action.
However I think to be fair to residents, dog walkers and others who use the road those parking need to be less selfish.
I would be grateful if you could bring it to the attention of parents that it is illegal to park on double yellow lines unless they hold a blue badge.
The lines have been put there as it is hazardous to park there.
Local Campaign
Chalfont St Giles Parish Council is supporting a campaign by local residents for a new bus service to Little Chalfont and Chalfont and Latimer Station.
We are working with Buckinghamshire Council and with Carousel and would like to gauge support for this initiative.
Please complete our short survey using the link below and encourage other members of your household to do the same.
This survey will also be available in paper format in Chalfont St Giles Community Library.
