Infant - Weekly Email

Dear Parent/Carer,
Mums to School Day:  It was lovely to see so many mums and other relatives come in to school today. The children really enjoyed making cards and visiting the cafe with their special visitors. A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for their support of this event.
Growth Mindset Day: This was a great success and the children enjoyed using all of their gem powers in a variety of tasks. The teachers loved spending time with each and every child. A huge thank you to Miss Thorn for organising this exciting day for us
Pupil Safety - An incident has taken place in which secondary pupils were targeted after leaving school by 2 people on a moped.   Property was taken and 1 student was knocked down.  The incident appears to have started in a park area where pupils had left property unattended. The police are actively working on this case. We thought we should bring this to your attention so that you are aware and can talk to your children about keeping safe. In our run up to the summer holidays we will also have assembly time to share a strong safety message.

Measles Notice - Public Health England have confirmed 440 cases of measles across England so far this year with 250 reported across London and the South East. Please make sure your child has received 2 doses of the MMR vaccine especially if you are travelling abroad this summer. Please contact either your GP Surgery or call the Bucks Immunisation Team on 01296 566063 to arrange a catch up appointment.
School App:  This gives you quick access to school calendar and weekly email amongst other items. Please see the information on our school website.
Accident-Free in CSG: Improvements to School Lane!
Bucks County Council will be coming out over the summer to improve the road surface around our crossing corner area and repaint the faded white lines. They'll be asking the relevant utility to fix the wobbly manhole cover too.

You'll also notice lines around the crossing corner, advising cars not to park up to the built out area. This will ensure that vehicles coming up School Lane will not have to drive over the pedestrianised area next to the railings to avoid cars parked on the other side.
We are also exploring whether an advisory disabled bay in front of the Gardens Association Hall would be beneficial to both hall users and any parents/carers on the school run. If you have any feedback on this and think it may assist someone in your family to drop off/pick up, then we'd be keen to hear from you via the school office.
This week the following vehicles were parked inconsiderately in our Safety Zone. Please find safe and considerate parking elsewhere.
