Maypole Dancing: A big thank you to Mrs Penrose and her team for helping the children produce such a wonderful display on Tuesday on the Village Green. It's a great tradition and always lovely for the school to take part in village community events. Thank you also to the staff members who came along to support the children as well as all the children's parents.
Interhouse PE Day: Despite the weather, the children had a fabulous day taking part in the various sporting activities and really enjoyed the opportunity to compete against the other class in their group. Thank you to Mrs O'Dwyer for organising this event, along with Mrs Sole and her students for their hard work with the children during the day.
Reading Eggs - New Online Resources to Support Reading at home: Over the past few weeks children across both schools have been trialing the Reading Eggs Scheme. This is a fabulous resource designed to build children's reading and comprehension skills. For more information about the scheme please see the attached sheet.
The feedback from children, parents and staff has been very positive so we have decided to purchase the scheme for the next 18 months. On 15th May at 6.30pm at the Junior School and 18th May at 9.00am at the Infant School we will be launching the scheme and showing parents how to use the resources. We look forward to welcoming you.
The introduction of the Reading Eggs Scheme has been made possible through the support of Chalfont St Giles Community Library. We would like to thank the trustees for their generous support.
Please encourage your children to get in the habit of borrowing books from the Community Library this will really help with improving their reading and enjoyment of books.
You can join Bucks libraries at the Community Library here.
Children can borrow up to 20 books on their library card. Book reservations are free for children.
