Maypole Dancing: On May Day some of our year 2 children will be dancing around the Maypole on the village green at 7pm. We would love as many of you as possible to come along and support them.
Fabi Santiago: The children really enjoyed their visit from Fabi. She read them 'Tiger in a Tutu' during assembly and taught the children how they could draw their own tiger picture!
Interhouse PE Day: We are looking forward to our interhouse PE day on the 2nd May, run by students and their teacher from Dr Challoner's High School. The children will be putting the skills they have learnt in different sports into practice by competing against the other class in their year group. Please can the children come to school dressed in their PE kits which will be sent on Tuesday.
Year 1 phonics: Thank you to those who were able to attend this morning's information meeting. If you were unable to attend the information will be on our school website and sent home in book bags.
Author Visit: Ted Dewan, author of the 'Bing' books will be coming in to see us on Tuesday 15th May, during Literacy Week. If you would like Ted to sign a book for your child please see the attached order form.
Year 1 Open Morning: The Junior School are holding a special open morning on Friday 11th May for our current Year One parents. This is an ideal opportunity for parents to visit the Junior School. Please see the attached flyer.
Communications: Paper copies of current letters are now available in the School Reception area should you be unable to print one at home.
Bingo, Beer & Burgers!
Don’t forget to book your places at the Family Bingo evening to be held on Saturday 5th May in the Memorial Hall. Complete your forms as soon as possible to ensure a place - they are filling up quickly! Doors will open at 5pm, Bingo starting at 5.30pm. We’ll have a fully stocked bar and will be serving freshly cooked burgers (vegetarian option available) from the kitchen. We look forward to seeing you for a fun evening.

Thanks everyone for walking, parking and striding from outside the Safety Zone and to Diamond for patrolling over the last fortnight.
There have been some cars parked on the Silver Hill double yellow lines this morning, which may not be associated with the school eg Grey VW Tiguan ****WTA. We'll monitor the situation and can contact the traffic warden if it persists.
Meanwhile, the vehicles below were parked inconsiderately on School Lane or without authorisation in the Guide Hut this week. Please find safe parking elsewhere:
