Infant - Weekly Email

Dear Parents/Carer,
It has been a really busy week with lots of exciting events. Reception visited the Roald Dahl gallery, Year 2 went to Woburn Safari Park and Year 1 held their own village fete. The children all had a wonderful time as their learning was was really brought to life. Thank you to the staff for their hard work and also to the parent helpers for coming on the trips.
Reception Multiskills Club: There are still spaces available on this free club. If your child enjoys taking part in different activities this could be the club for them. Please see the attached letter.
Sport Relief:  A huge thank you to all those who came to school dressed in their own sports clothes, made donations and purchased wrist bands. The Infant School has raised a total of £120.20 from donations and we will let you know the amount raised from the sale of wristbands once we have heard from Sport Relief.
Parking permits - We are very pleased that the council have agreed to continue the Parking Permits for the Blizzards Yard car park. If you have a Parking Permit and would like to continue to use it please can you either email the School Office or pop into the Office so that we can replace your current permit, as these have an end date of the Easter Holidays. If you would like to use this scheme but have lost the Parking Permit that was sent home please also let us know.
Tennis and PFO Camps: Please see the attached flyers for Easter and May half term camps.
The Secret of 4 & 5 Year Olds: Please see information below from one of the producers of this programme.

'This exciting series will follow a new group of children as they play, learn and interact with other children in a nursery environment. They will be observed throughout by leading scientists and psychologists, who will give insights into child development.

Filming takes place in London during the summer holidays, and the days are led by two highly trained teachers. We cover the cost of travel and accommodation for all children selected to take part in the series.  We are currently casting for the next series and looking for a diverse group of children to take part. I wondered if any of the parents and children at your school might be interested?

If parents would like to apply they can do so here:'

Accident-Free in CSG: Pearl on Parking Patrol
Thanks to Pearl parents for covering traffic patrol and encouraging children to use the footpath and cross safely at the Crossing Corner.
An incident was reported last week where someone apparently parked inconsiderately and then reversed into another vehicle. Hopefully the presence of our Pearl volunteers will prompt drivers who insist on coming up School Lane to park in proper spaces and to exercise caution with small people around.
This week, the vehicles below were parked inconsiderately inside our Safety Zone. Don't forget to contact the school if you think you are exempt from our Parking Promise. Otherwise, please find safe parking away from School Lane.
