Infant - Weekly Email

Dear Parents/Carers,

Christmas Shows : Tickets for the Reception and KS1 shows were sent home yesterday in book bags. The children are very much looking forward to performing to you next week. Please be reminded that for the KS1 show, younger siblings are only permitted to attend the Monday performance.

Jack and the Beanstalk:  We hope that the children all enjoyed the visit by M&M Productions yesterday. Thank you to all of you who made a voluntary donation towards the costs of this live theatre performance. Payments may still be made via ParentPay or by sending in £3.50 in a named envelope to the School Office (please also write M&M or Pantomime on the envelope).

Walk on Wednesday: Well done to Emerald and Sapphire classes who won our Walk on Wednesday competition this week with 96% of children in these classes walking. It was a very close competition with all classes having over 90% of children walking to school. This is a massive improvement so well done all! This week the children can wear a high viz to school as well as their trainers.

Emails to school: If you wish to contact a teacher please email the school office who will pass your message on. The email address is infantoffice@csgvillageschool.org

Sickness and diarrhoea: Please can we remind you that if your child is sick or has diarrhoea they should not return to school until 48 hours after the last episode.

Accident-Free in CSG: Competition time!

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT OUR ONE PAGE TERMLY NEWSLETTER - ATTACHED BELOW...

It includes details of what's been happening this term to keep your kids safe on the school run, including information about our competition to name some new furry friends! (Deadline Friday 15th December).

There is also a heads up that your Class Parent will be asking you for 20 minutes of your time to help next term. Thanks everyone for playing your part.

Meanwhile, we'd be grateful if the drivers of the following vehicles could avoid parking on double yellow lines or blocking the Keep Clear and the pavement at our 'Crossing Corner'.

White Citroen ****
Blue Renault ****
Silver Peugeot ****

Snow - I would like to remind parents of our procedures for closure in the event of snow.  Naturally, we make every effort to keep the school open, although sometimes the condition of the site and the availability of staff make it impossible to operate safely. Communication takes place via the school website and class parents.  Please do not telephone the school; this would block telephone lines and we are likely to be working with a skeleton staff first thing in the morning.

There are three status categories:
RED  -  the school is closed

GREEN  -  school is open and operating entirely normally

AMBER  -  there will be some amendments to normal arrangements;  i.e. a later start to allow staff and parents time to travel.  Start time will be posted on the school website and communicated to class parents.
