Dear Parent/Carers,
Year 2 Leavers assembly: The Year 2 children put on the most amazing show this week. They sang, danced and performed their hearts out and it was truly wonderful to see how confident and happy they were on the stage. A huge thank you to the Year 2 team for their tireless hard work in putting the assembly together and supporting the children so well. Thank you also to Mr Jackson for his efforts in compiling all the photographs. All children will receive a copy of the recording of the show. Finally, thank you to our marvellous PTA for providing teas and coffees.
New Order of Books: We have been able to purchase a whole range of home reading books thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. Although they have been thanked privately we felt it important to also share this news publicly. It has made a real difference and the children will benefit enormously.
Year 1 Ambulance Visit: The children really enjoyed looking around an ambulance and hearing the siren and seeing the lights. Thank you to Matilda's dad for arranging the visit. We are very lucky to have so many helpful and engaged parents in this school!
Pearl Class Assembly: Wow, what a fantastic assembly! The children thoroughly enjoyed performing all their songs and dances and explaining all about their learning this year.
Nursery Trip to Chiltern Open Air Museum: What a fun packed day Nursery have had today. The bug hunting was a huge hit! Thank you to everyone who came to help the smallest members of our school.
Summer Reading Challenge: Please see attached poster inviting children to take part in this year's Summer Reading Challenge. The library will be open next Tuesday, 18th July following a refurbishment.
Village Show: This year's Village Show is on Saturday 2nd September and the theme is 'The Good Old Days'. There are lots of competitions for the children to enter so please pick up a schedule either here at the School office or in one of the Village shops.
Eat Well For Less - Casting Call: I am a producer writing from the hit BBC One prime time series ‘Eat Well For Less?’ which is in currently casting for the fifth series!

My reason for writing is that we are currently on the lookout for fun and lively families who would like to save some money on their weekly shop and eat more healthily.

The show follows Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace & award winning greengrocer Chris Bavin on a mission to prove that it is possible for families to save money on their food budget without scrimping on taste and nutrition.  They hope that by analysing the shopping habits of UK families, they can help to show where we can source the best and cheapest quality food..

Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

The Eat Well For Less Team

We made over £2,000 at the Party in the Park. Thank you to all those that attended and helped to make it such a successful night!
Attached is a poster showing all the local businesses that very kindly offered us sponsorship for the Strawberry Fayre this year.
Also attached is information we provided to all new parents showing ways you can help the school over the summer holidays with very little effort.  A couple of mouse clicks is all it takes for the school to earn commission!
