Infant - Weekly Email

Dear Parents/Carers,
Yr 2 walk to village and to Captain Cook Memorial: Year 2 had 2 very different walks this week. On Tuesday they went into the village to draw plants in their local environment as part of their science topic and on Wednesday they walked in the bright sunshine to the Captain Cook Memorial.
Nursery walk: Nursery walked down to the village this week and bought some buns in the bakers.
PE Challenge Day: On Wednesday 7th June Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are having a PE Challenge Day. They are to come to school in their PE kit. Please do not bring their PE kits back into school until after this event.
School Lunch 8th June: Please remember that due to the Memorial Hall being used as a polling station there will be no hot lunches on Thursday 8th June.  Please ensure your child is sent to school with a packed lunch.
Accident-Free in CSG: Thank you!
Many thanks to our school community for your support, as well as to our parent volunteers who give up their time. It really is making a positive impact!
It has been great to hear supportive feedback from parents and local residents. Thames Valley Police's help also continues, with local PCSO Oli joining us this week and back again next half term.
If you could offer 30 minutes of your time next half term to help, please email Carolyn.
This week the following vehicles were parked illegally on double yellow lines on Silver Hill or unsafely around the Memorial Hall and School Lane.

If they haven't already done so, please could these drivers find alternative safe and legal parking outside the Safety Zone. Thank you!
