*6 CHILDREN NEARLY KNOCKED OVER AROUND MEMORIAL HALL OVER THE LAST WEEK*
We have had two near-misses reported to the school, which put six children at risk.
Are you, a grandparent or carer still driving up School Lane? We understand it is a public right of way. The reason you were asked to sign the Parking Promise and avoid School Lane was to help create a safety zone immediately around the school.
The vast majority of you are avoiding the safety zone - thank you!
However some people are still using School Lane for convenience (e.g. rainy day, logistics of multiple school drops). Please could you help reduce the traffic by parking safely and legally outside the Safety Zone and walking the remaining short distance.
This would also enable the few parking spots on School Lane to be used by those who need them most (e.g. those with mobility challenges, PTA members carrying heavy boxes for school events or others with issues we may not see). It would be helpful if you could let me know if this applies to you (and your registration details).
This week the following vehicles were parked illegally on double yellow lines on Silver Hill or unsafely around the Memorial Hall and School Lane.
If they haven't already done so, please could these drivers find alternative safe and legal parking outside the Safety Zone. Thank you!
Thank you for all your fantastic tombola donations this morning. If you have any further donations please contact a PTA member or the office and they can direct you to us.
We appreciate this is a very busy time of year, with Bags to School, Mums to School, Strawberry Fayre and Party in the Park not far away.
Lots of requests will pop up in your books bags, we really appreciate your ongoing support.
Please find attached the details for Mums to School ( Friday 9th June) and the gifts that the children will be designing this year for Fathers Day.
Please note gifts must be pre-ordered this year and we will need orders in before half term.
Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you there.
