Infant - Weekly Email

Dear Parents/Carers,
Parking: Mr Cato will be back from paternity leave next week and we will return to the regular arrangement of roping off The Memorial Hall.  The Memorial Hall car park is for those attending clubs in the hall - it is not school parking. The parking situation in this area has been inconsiderate and dangerous lately.
With this in mind, I'm especially pleased to let you know that we'll shortly be launching our school run safety initiative. Please watch out for our first newsletter with more details of what's in store and how we can all contribute.
Mrs Mannion and I will be out and about to monitor the safety of the area outside the school- we will look forward to your feedback and to a safer school run for all our pupils.

Head Teacher
Maypole Performance: Some of our Year 2 children will be Maypole dancing on the village green on May Day. Thank you to Mrs Penrose for all her hard work in preparing the children for this traditional village performance.  Please could the children who have been attending Maypole rehearsals be in the Infant School playground at 11.30am on Monday.
Updated Menu and Allergen Sheets: Please find these attached (on school meals pager here.
Memorial Hall - 4th May & 8th June: There will be no hot school meals on both days due to the Memorial Hall being used as a polling station. Please can we remind you to send your child in with a packed lunch on those days.
Donations:  We would like to say a very big thank you to Yaldens as they have donated a range of vegetable and flowering plants to the school.  Each class is to have their own patch to plant and tend and now we have something to put in them.

Thank you also to Jocelyn Stainbank's  grandparents who also donated some vegetable plants to Diamond class.
If you have any seedlings you would like to donate, we would be very grateful, thank you.
Sponsored walk: This will be taking place next Friday 5th May. Thank you to all the parents who have offered their help with this event. If you would like to donate to the school, our Justgiving pages are the best and easiest way to do so. Anyone can donate so please feel free to forward our links to others. We can also accept donations in hand as we can add it to the grand total on the page. We have until the 31st May 2017 to donate this way.
Thank you.
