Dear Parent/Carer,
Harvest Festival - We’re looking forward to the Infant School Harvest celebration on Tuesday 15th October! We will be joining the Church to support Saunderton Lodge, a shelter for families made homeless. They have asked us particularly for:
Non-perishable foodstuffs, tinned meat products for reheating (casseroles, hot dogs etc) and tinned cold meats (e.g. ham).
Very small jars of instant coffee.
Dental hygiene products.
General hygiene products.
RM Easimaths: Years 1 and 2 logins and passwords have now been updated and are stuck in the children's reading records. Reception children will be receiving their logins once they have become familiar with using the programme in school.
Menu changes - update from St Josephs Kitchen: we have now completed the first 5 week cycle of the current Autumn menu and following feedback have made some small changes. The following recipes will no longer be made using vegan cheese. The dishes remain vegetarian, but are no longer dairy free.
Three dishes have now been altered
Vegan Mac 'n' Cheese (Week 2)
Vegan Cauliflower & Broccoli Mornay (Week 5)
Vegan Macaroni Cheese (Week 1)
The menu and allergen sheets have been updated - copies are available on the website here
Staff Vacancies: We are looking to employ a lunchtime Kitchen Assistant for five days a week at our Junior School Site - job share would be an option for this role. We are also looking for a School Cleaner for two days a week. If you are interested in either role please contact either school office for more details.
Accident-Free In CSG: Another big thank you to everyone who is parking away from School Lane, the Memorial Hall and Silver Hill.
Unfortunately there are some people parking in front of the Garden Association Room on School Lane. There are signs outside requesting you do not block the entrance on Fridays between 11:45am and 1:45pm as there are elderly (and very immobile) people that need access during lunch time pick up, and have been unable to attend due to not being able to park outside. Please be respectful of this and do not park there.
We have also been advised that the gate leading into the guide hut will now be locked. If you park there this may mean you will be locked in.
We will be starting Walk on Wednesdays (WOW) next week. Please see the attached letter which includes information about being entered in a prize draw for Sports Direct vouchers if you walk every Wednesday!
