Nursery assembly: Well done to the Nursery for a brilliant assembly. They did so well in retelling the story of Jasper's beanstalk, singing a range of songs learnt over the nursery year and reciting nursery rhymes. It was great to see them enjoying their performance so much!
Year 1 trip: The children had a fantastic time in the sunshine at Ruislip Lido as the culmination of their topic about the seaside. They explored the beach area, built dens in the woods, rode on the train and enjoyed eating ice cream. Thank you to the parents who accompanied us on the trip.
Garden competition: We hope you enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful class gardens in the Shakman playground this morning. The children are so proud of what they have created. The gardens were judged by our Governors earlier in the week and they had a tough time making their decision. Congratulations to Sapphire Class who were the winners and Ruby Class who were the runners up A big thank you to all the staff and parents who helped the children with their gardens and Mrs Stainbank for organising the competition.
Sponsored Walk: The children enjoyed their sponsored walk last week and we enjoyed seeing them dressed as their favourite sportsperson! A big thank you to those who have already donated. If you have not donated and are able to please donate through ParentPay.
Packed Lunches: The amount of children bringing in packed lunches when they are supposed to be having a hot lunch has increased, resulting in the school ordering, paying and then wasting unnecessary food. Can we ask that you stick to your preference or let the school office know if you would like to switch and bring in packed lunches
PSHE overview: The information about PSHE has been updated on our website - please see here. We also have new SRE and PSHE policies. Please can you take a moment to look at these and send any comments or feedback to the School Office. Mrs Peal is looking for volunteers to take part in an SRE/PSHE Focus Group next term. If you are interested please let the School Office know.
Summer Reading Challenge: Please see the attached flyer regarding this summer's village library reading challenge.
Skipping Ropes: During sports week the children took part in a skipping workshop which they thoroughly enjoyed. For the next week we have some super skipping ropes for sale. If you would like to purchase one please come to the school office
Clubs: Some of our lunchtime and after school clubs finished last week and the rest finish this week. Please see the week ahead below for those clubs that are on.
School Lunches: Please could we remind you to return your School Lunch forms today if you haven't already.
Chalfont St Giles Village Show Colouring Competition: Children will be bringing home a template to colour in and return as per the instructions on the back.
Aquadoodle Mat: We would love to have an aquadoodle mat and pens for the Infant School If any of you have an old mat and pens that you no longer need and are willing to donate to us.
