Infant - End of Year Email - Wednesday 20th July

Dear Parent/Carer,

We wish all our families a very happy, healthy summer holiday!

Diary dates - See attached sheet with details of some dates for the next academic year.

The Governor Report and the July issue of the School Newsletter are now available on the Newsletter section of the website here

Uniform - Please note that the deadline for back to school uniform (online and in store (appointments need to be made)) from PMG Schoolwear is Friday 12th August. Orders received after this date are not guaranteed for the start of the Autumn term.

Classlist: All pupils will have their new classes on Classlist updated once we return to school in September. If you wish to volunteer as Class Parent for your class then please let either your class teacher or the School Office know.

Autumn/Winter MenuOur Autumn/Winter menu is on our website for you to see. It will also be loaded onto ParentMail in the school holidays for you to be able to place your orders prior to the beginning of term.  Allergens will be entered as soon as we have received them from St Josephs.  Please do remember to inform the School Office of any dietary requirements that we need to be aware of.

Lunch boxes:  A reminder that we do not allow sweets, fizzy drinks or chocolate bars in our lunchboxes. For advice on how to provide a healthy lunch for your child please see here.

We have a number of children attending this school who have a severe allergy to nuts & sesame seeds - including both peanuts and tree-growing nuts.  This allergy is not just triggered through ingestion but can also be via touch and inhalation.
Under no circumstances are any items containing nuts or nut products to be brought onto site, either during the school day or before and after school.  This includes birthday treats that get handed out to the children.  Such products also include peanut butter and Nutella/hazelnut chocolate spread and some cereal bars. Also please do not bring in hummus as this contains sesame seeds.  Your cooperation on this matter is very much appreciated.

Medicines - any pupil medicines held in school will be sent home today.

Community events

Chalfont St Giles Show is back! Saturday 3rd September in Stone Meadow after a two year break for obvious reasons. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance online or at various shops in the village (details on the website) as it’s cheaper than on the day. Under 18s go free this year as long as they’re accompanied by an adult. Great entertainment in the main arena, local acts in the community arena, stalls, and a good variety of food and drink, as well as the Competitions Marquee, Honey Show and Wheelhouse Vets’ Dog Show.

If you haven’t already, do take a look at the competitions. They are free to enter and those who come first, second or third in the judging receive prize money.  We’ve already distributed the Colouring Competition templates but if you or your children enjoy baking, growing, writing, photography, or crafts, there are classes you could enter on the day. See our website for information on how to enter and note the deadline for registering your entries is a week before show day but you can edit your choices any time up until then.

Visit www.csgshow.org for full details and we hope to see you in September!
