Email for parents - Friday 25th February

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you have had a great half term. We are really looking forward to welcoming the children back into school on Monday.

I just wanted to let you know that we have reviewed our assessments after looking at the new Government guidance for relaxation of measures to control Covid 19. The arrangements for the school day will continue as before half term. Please note school gates at the Junior School will open at 8.40 on a Friday so you can come into your child’s class from 8.45 and Year 1 will be collected from the main playground at the end of each day.

Please can I draw your attention to the following paragraph from the government guidance:

Children and young people with COVID-19 should not attend their education setting while they are infectious. They should take an LFD test from 5 days after their symptoms started (or the day their test was taken if they did not have symptoms) followed by another one the next day. If both these test results are negative, they should return to their educational setting if they normally attend one, as long as they feel well enough to do so and do not have a temperature.

If we all apply these rules we will be able to protect our school community, wider community and prevent disruption to education.

Look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Kind regards
