Letter to Year 2s - Friday 3rd April

Hello Year 2!

Wow it seems like ages since we last saw you all, we hope you and your families are all well and that you are being helpful around the house?

We have all been keeping ourselves busy with lots of different activities.

Mrs Lawrence has her two (very big) children at home with her and all they do is eat, eat, eat! She has been trying to be good and has been either running, walking or skipping every day.  She is also exercising her brain by playing word games and reading – We hope you are all reading every day too.

Mrs Herriot has had a busy week, playing scrabble, baking cakes, indoor cycling, outdoor running and attempting a 4000-piece jigsaw! She loved taking part in the Gareth Malone choir each evening on YouTube and even had a family silent disco on Sunday night!

Mrs Radcliffe has been doing lots of baking with her children and because of that has been doing lots of eating. Therefore, she is trying to do more exercise and is attempting to run 3 times a week from Chalfont St Peter to Chalfont St Giles. She is finding this quite hard so is using all her Emerald power to keep going!

Mrs Watts has been having lots of fun in the garden with her children who have set up a football crossbar challenge for her to attempt which she has to keep practising! Outside they have also been playing I-spy and cricket when the sun has been shining. They have also been listening to a daily story read by David Walliam’s from their favourite book, The World’s Worst Children.

Over the past week Mrs Knight has been busy planting lots of seeds; carrots, tomatoes, chillies and potatoes. Her dogs Teddy and Daisy have loved having Mrs Knight at home and they have been going on a walk every day. As it’s nearly Easter here’s a joke from Mrs Knight.

Q. How does the Easter Bunny stay in shape?

A. Lots of eggs excise!!

We are all really missing you and hearing all your news but hopefully we will see each other soon.

Love from Mrs Lawrence, Mrs Herriot, Mrs Radcliffe, Mrs Watts and Mrs Knight xxxxx
