Key Stage 2 SATs Results 2016

New SATs tests were used for the first time this year against the new curriculum introduced two years ago. Teachers have put in a lot of hard work to develop lessons to meet the more stringent demands of the new curriculum whilst maintaining children’s enthusiasm for learning.

KS2 results are from externally marked tests, except for Writing which is teacher assessed. Our school was in the minority of schools to have the Writing assessments externally verified (moderated) and the moderator agreed with the school’s judgements. As this is the first year under a very different assessment regime some variation between schools in how the assessment criteria for Writing are applied is to be expected. Some of the figures may change slightly due to pending re-mark requests.
