Weekly email - reminder for w/c Monday 3rd December

Dear Parent/Carer,

Candlelight Parade:  Thank you to all those children and parents who attended the candlelight parade. The procession down to the village green looked stunning and the children were all very well behaved. Thank you to the teaching staff who accompanied the parade and led the singing on the village green.

Year 1 Milestones Museum Trip: The children had a fantastic day learning all about toys from the past and comparing them with the toys of today. Thank you to all the parents who helped with the trip.

Reception Owl Visit: Reception had a fabulous visit from the Birds of Prey Centre as part of their topic about nocturnal animals. They met different types of owl and learnt all about these majestic creatures and other nocturnal creatures.

Costumes: Thank you for the all the costumes already sent to school for the Christmas productions. Mr Jackson will be coming to take photographs of the children in their costumes on Thursday 6th December, therefore all costumes must be in by this date at the absolute latest.

Year 2 moving up to Junior School: Please complete your application for your child's junior school place by 9 a.m. on the 11th January 2019 if completing a paper application and by the 15th January 2019 if completing an online application.

Walk to School Month: December is our Walk to School Month. Please see the link here for the letter sent out earlier in the week.

Disruption to Recreation Ground Car Park: For the next three weeks there will be works in the recreation ground to move power cables from overhead to underground. The majority of this work will be along the track from the car park to the Bowling Club, however there will be a need to restrict access to the car park when the trenches are dug over the car park entrance. This work will be completed as quickly as possible.

During these works please ensure that your children stay away from the machinery being used and beware around the trenches.  Please also leave extra time for your journeys to allow for possible delays.
