Junior - Weekly email (sent Friday 7th June 2019).

Dear All

 

The EcoWarriors made £17.50 from their PopUp shop last week - this will be donated to a local charity and the left over clothes have been donated to local charity shops. Thank you to everyone who donated items.

 

A groups of Year 4 children went to the Davenies pairs-cricket festival on Tuesday - despite the rain they all played with a great spirit and the organisers commented on how well everyone had done and how enthusiastic everyone had been. Thank you to Miss Warner for managing the team. 

 

The children who did their Bikeability training were given their certificates and badges in today's achievement assembly. Well done to all of them and a special thank you to Seer Green school who added some of our children to their sessions. 

 

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Wycombe District Athletics competition yesterday and a special thank you to Mr O'Sullivan and Miss Warner for supporting the team at this event. Many thanks to all of the parents who transported children as well.

 

We have had a lovely afternoon with lots of mums (and other relatives) visiting the school. Thank you to the PTA for running a very busy cafe and selling gifts for Fathers Day.

 

Class photos - these have been sent home this week - the deadline for orders that are being placed for delivery back to school is 09:30 on Monday 17th June. The whole Year 6 photos should be sent home next week.

 

Hobbies Day - this will be held on Friday 12th July - letter is on the website here. Please complete and return the form or use the online version here - entries in by Tuesday 25th June please.

 

Head lice - we are continuing to have cases of head lice in school. Please remember to check your child's hair regularly and treat as required. Many thanks.

 

Rounders Club - There are still spaces in the rounders club if any year 5 or 6 children are interested.  

 

Year 3 - Year 3 are going down to the village to do the church trail - they need some adults helpers so if you have a valid DBS for our school and are able to help please can you talk to one of the Year 3 teachers or contact the school office.  (Church Trail visit on afternoon of Wednesday 12th June)

 

Year 6 - Year 6 trip to France is fast approaching and if you have not yet completed the form regarding drop off /collection, spending money and behaviour agreement, please could you do and return to school office by Monday 10th June. The form can be found here 

 

Community events - CSG Village Show will take place on Saturday 7th September - details of the parade and the talent show are given on the Community page of our website.  

 

Details of the village Open Gardens Day are also now available.

 

CSG Parish Council have asked us to share a leaflet with details of the referendum on the Neighbourhood plan

 

Bowling Club - CSG Bowling club are kindly running bowling taster sessions for clasess over the next few weeks. These will take place at various times during the school day over the next few weeks.
