Junior - Weekly email sent Friday 6th July

Dear all

Thank you to Miss Murray and Mrs Crosbie for organising all of our sports week events. Also thank you to Mr Harding and his sports leaders from CCC who have been helping throughout the week. On Thursday all children had the opportunity to take part in a whole range of activities throughout the afternoon. A huge thank you to Mrs Shack for running the dance sessions and Mrs Stephenson for running the Pilates sessions. These activities were greatly enjoyed by the children and MILTON were winners of sports week.

Weather Forecast - the forecast is for the warm sunny weather to continue next week - please continue to ensure that your child has fresh water and a suitable hat and has suncream applied daily. Summer uniform rules continue - ie no ties or jumpers.

School Meals and ParentPay - please can you ensure that all outstanding balances for school meals are cleared by the end of the school term. This is especially important if your child is leaving the school at the end of this term. Many thanks.

School Uniform - Our supplier School Trends have asked us to inform parents that lead time for on line orders may be longer as it is now their busy time of year. In order to ensure delivery in plenty of time for the new school year, please could all on line orders be placed by the end of July. We have been asked about the care instructions for the new jumpers and cardigans - these should be washed according to the care label and then hung up to dry. Message from Parent re Adult Netball Club: I am currently looking into the possibility of organising a CSG netball club during the summer months. It would be held at the Junior School and most likely be a Monday evening from 19.30-20.30. In order to set this up I need to invest in some bibs and balls and also need to arrange public liability insurance so I am trying to gauge if there is enough interest. Mrs Peal has agreed for us in principle to use the court each week at the Junior School and I plan to continue running through the holidays. Realistically it would be May - Sept due to us losing the daylight at other times. To cover the costs plus leave some to donate to the school I estimate the cost would be approximately £2-£3 per person. The hour would really be a chance to have a game. I'm hoping a few regulars would come forward and take it in turns for a 15 minute coaching session at the start followed by a 40 min match. It would be very low, key friendly and fun. Nothing serious! Just a chance to play as I have found the back to netball session times don't work for me in the evenings and I have recently stopped playing for a team so this seemed a good happy-medium! This isn't a school mum only thing, anyone would be welcome. If anyone is interested please contact me at: Celia.farshchi@gmail.comThanks everyone!

Have a lovely weekend.
