Many congratulations to Mr Cato and his wife who had a baby girl during half term week.
World Book Day: The children looked fabulous in their costumes and thoroughly enjoyed our pirate themed day. Many thanks to you for providing the costumes and to Mrs Court for all her hard work in co-ordinating the day. Please see the blogs for some photographs.
Red Nose Day: Year 2 will be selling red noses next week for a minimum donation of £1.25. You are welcome to donate more but please note we are not able to give change. It would be really helpful if money could be sent to school in an envelope. As we have a limited number of noses, children are only able to buy one nose each. On Friday children may wear their red nose and something red.
Memorial Hall Lottery: Please see the attached lottery request letter from the Memorial Hall team.
Accident-Free in CSG:
Do you have extenuating circumstances?
There seem to be several families who regularly park as close to the school as possible on School Lane or on the Silver Hill double yellows.
If this is you and you continue to park within our Safety Zone or illegally on Silver Hill, please expect a call in the coming weeks as are keen to understand if you have extenuating circumstances which exempts you from our Parking Promise. We have started discussions about a disabled parking spot outside the Gardens Association Hall. It would be helpful to identify families with mobility or other issues and relevant permits, who would benefit from a disabled spot.
Meanwhile, the cars below were parked inconsiderately on School lane, in the Memorial Hall or on the Silver Hill double yellow.
