First Day at School Photo: Our first day at school photo has been published in this weeks Buckinghamshire Advertiser and Buckinghamshire Examiner.
Zebra crossing: We have been advised by Bucks CC that the crossing on Deanway will not be repainted until the rest of the work has been completed on the Deanway. This may be up to two weeks. Please can you ensure that there is an adult to assist with your child if they cross the Deanway on their way to school.
Harvest Festival: This is being held on Tuesday 16th October in the village church. This year the church will, once again, be donating our Harvest gifts to Saunderton Lodge, who provide temporary accommodation for homeless adults and their dependent children. As well as welcoming long life food, any toiletries such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, wet wipes and nappies would also be gratefully received.
Revised Allergen Sheets: Please see attached revised allergen sheets for weeks 1 and 6.
Temporary Tattoos: We have noticed that a number of children have been coming into school with temporary tattoos. Please can these be removed prior to children coming in.
Literacy and Numeracy Information Meetings: As per previous communications these are being held on Thursday 11th October at 6pm. Please complete the attached form if you are attending. If we do not receive many replies the meeting will be cancelled.
Staff Vacancies: We are looking to employ lunch time supervisors on a casual basis at our Infant School site. Being on our casual staff list means that we would like to call on you to cover lunch time staff absences or when additional staff may be required. Please contact the School Office for more details if you or someone you know might be interested.
Uniform Update: We are aware that many parents are still experiencing long delays in receiving school uniform from School Trends. We understand and share your frustrations - the launch of an on-line supply of school uniform was intended to improve the supply of uniform and we have been badly let down by our supplier in this regard. Please be assured that we are actively looking to rectify the situation and are hoping to have a new supplier confirmed in the next week or two. In the meantime, if you have outstanding orders from School Trends and are happy to wait for delivery, please do so. Please do not place any new orders with School Trends.
Key Dates for children starting school or moving up to Junior School September 2019: The online portal opens 5th November 2018 at 11am. Further detail to follow.
Messy Church: Please find attached a leaflet for this Sunday's Messy Church.
PFO October Half Term Camps: Please see the attached poster.
Accident-Free in CSG: Many thanks to all those helping with patrol!
It really makes a difference. It has been great to see junior helpers in their hi-vis jackets with the hedgehog mascots in tow.
Thanks also to those who take taxis to school and are now being dropped off away from School Lane. Please could the vehicles below avoid School Lane and the double yellow lines on Silver Hill:
