Infant - Weekly email Friday 20th July

Dear Parent/Carer,

Flower Festival:  It was lovely to see so many of you at the Church Service and the children performed magnificently. The flowers were sent to the Epilepsy Society who sent us the email below:

I would like to extend a massive thank you to the pupils of Chalfont St. Giles Infant School for the beautiful array of flowers.  My office felt like a florist and the fragrance was exquisite.  I have distributed all the flowers to the Houses here on site and they were gratefully received!  A nice bouquet of flowers make such a difference to a room and I am sure the residents will appreciate them; some flowers are going to be used in the flower arranging sessions tomorrow!

Thank you so much for considering us here at Epilepsy Society.  On behalf of the residents, enjoy the summer holidays and I wish you all the very best.

Goodbye to Doug: We held a very special assembly on Tuesday to say a huge thank you to Doug and Cate for their time, enthusiasm and commitment to our school. Thank you for your donations we raised an impressive £114.50 for the Pets as Therapy Charity.

Nursery Assembly:  Well done to the Nursery for a brilliant assembly. It was clear to see how much fun they have had in Nursery this year.

Beanbag Amnesty: If anyone has a beanbag they no longer need, Amethyst Class would love to have it for their reading area! Please let the Infant School office or Mr McCune know if you can help with this request. Thank you.

Medicine: Any medicine held in school will be handed to the collecting adult at the end of the school day on Tuesday 24th July.

Talent show: Please can children make sure they bring in all they need for their performance. Any music needs to be on a CD.

School Report Feedback: Staff would be very grateful if you could send in your report feedback forms before the end of term.

Accident-Free in CSG:

35 days with no school run!

Thank you for keeping our children safe this school year. Our efforts will continue in September - with the new Emerald Class on patrol, repainted road marking and our competition-winner banner coming.

To get us back into good habits, there will be stickers on the first morning of term for children using the 'crossing corner' and not walking on the road
